About US

Meet Ed & Terry Crowley

Welcome!

We're glad you found us!

Where We Are Located

Mesta Meadows sits on the eastern edge of the beautiful Ozark Highlands — about 2 hours southwest of St. Louis and 2½ hours northwest of Memphis.

Our Mission

To give our livestock an amazing life on lush hillside pastures, our guests an unforgettable farm experience, and our customers local, wholesome food they can feel good about.

How We Raise Our Animals

Our sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, and poultry roam free-range pastures and are supplemented with grain and minerals for optimal health. Everything we produce is antibiotic and hormone free, including eggs, meat, and raw dairy. We're proud to be one of the few sheep dairies in Missouri.

Our Wool

Our Rambouillet (French Merino) sheep produce award-winning fleeces averaging 19.2 microns — with some ewes producing sub-18 micron, ultra-fine fleeces at 100% comfort factor. We've spent years refining our flock through careful breeding, pasture management, and nutrition. The result? Artisan spinners and weavers from all 50 states, every Canadian province, and countries including Scotland, Ireland, England, and Iceland have purchased our wool.

Atelait Cremery

In 2026 we opened Atelait Cremery right here on the ranch and it's been such a great addition! Our French custard-style ice cream is ultra premium, all natural, and made with real fruits and ingredients. No artificial flavorings, no additives. Because it's crafted from sheep's milk, it's naturally A2 and easier to digest. And because we control every step from pasture to production, we can offer full traceability on every scoop.

Come See It for Yourself

Come visit us, meet our incredible livestock, and take in everything the ranch has to offer. Shop The Mason Jar Store, sample the ice cream, catch our annual Ozark Highland Sheep and Fiber Festival in the Spring, or book a group tour or overnight stay. However you find us, we hope you leave with full hands and a full heart!

Many Blessings,

Ed and Terri Crowley
