Great Pyrenees Dogs

The ultimate "Guardian dog" for your farm!  We breed them. You raise them.

Why Great Pyrenees?
If you have livestock, then you probably have predators. Especially with chickens, goats, sheep, and other smaller animals, coyotes, raccoons, foxes, and other predators can create havoc. Great Pyrenees are amazing guard dogs.  When they bond with livestock, they become their family, and they will protect them.  Each Pyrenees is different but generally, they are very calm with people (although they are often wary of strangers - which is a good thing), and just their presence and barking will discourage predators.

As a pet, they can also be great.  Yes, they do shed. And yes, they do bark.  But I have never found a more loyal, gentle, or good-natured dog than a Great Pryenees.

We do recommend that you select your Pyrenees for one role or the other. Either they are a working guard dog or a pet.  If they live in your house or backyard, they are going to be a pet. If they grow up and live with the livestock, they will be a guard dog.

Adopting our Guard Dogs....

We do currently have Great Pyrenees puppies available. Their dam (Princess) is a AKC registered mother, and this is her last litter (she is retiring from having puppies - but will keep working on the farm).  Their sire - Marshal, is a pure blooded (but not registered) Pyrenees who is working on our ranch.  The puppies have had (as of 7/11) both vet checks, are current with shots, and really healthy.  To learn more email me at ed at mestameadows dot com. We do require a phone interview prior to rehoming. Puppies cost $500.  And no, this isn't negotiable.  We want our puppies going to good homes that can afford to provide them with the proper care.
